Itinerary
DAY 1: IXB/NJP TO VIA MIRIK, GOPALDAHARA TEE GARDEN, PASUPATI MARKET, SIMANA VIEWPOINT & LEPCHAJAGAT VISITE DARJEELING TRANSFER:
Kalimpong 4 Night 5 Days Tour Package with Offbeatnest begins with your arrival at IXB/NJP. From there, we will take you via Mirik to Gopaldhara Tea Garden, Pasupati Market, Simana View Point, and Lepchajagat. After visiting these sites, we will transfer you to the hotel of Darjeeling. Overnight stay at the hotel in Darjeeling.
DAY 2: FULL-DAY DARJEELING CITY TOUR
As the chilly night continues to dominate over Darjeeling this day calls to wake up even before the sun to witness the stunning view of sunrise from the viewpoint along with a full-day city tour Post breakfast. Early morning starts the Darjeeling Package Tour & visit :
Tiger Hill Sunrise Point : Start your day early by waking up before the sun and visiting Tiger Hill Sunrise Point, which is about 11 km from Darjeeling. This spot has earned international fame for the magnificent view of the sunrise over Mt. Kanchenjunga, the world's third-highest peak. As the sun rises, the dazzling snow-covered peaks of the Himalayas gloriously enlighten, and on a clear day, you can catch a glimpse of the World's highest peak, Mt. Everest. The breathtaking view from Tiger Hill is worth the effort.
Batasia Loop : After experiencing the stunning sunrise, head towards Batasia Loop, a spiral narrow-gauge railway track located between Ghoom and Darjeeling. The Toy Train negotiates a sudden sharp descent from Ghoom, and this place provides a breathtaking view of the surrounding mountains, with a 360-degree view of the Darjeeling landscape in the backdrop of the majestic Kanchenjunga. The loop is decorated with grass, shrubs, seasonal flowers, and benches laid inside the garden to enjoy nature while the Toy train enters, hooting its way to complete the spiral route.
Ghoom Monastery: Your next stop is Ghoom Monastery, also known as Yiga Monastery or Old Ghoom Monastery, one of the oldest Tibetan monasteries in Darjeeling. Built-in 1850, this monastery follows the lineage of the Sakya Sect of Vajra yana Buddhism lineage and has a small philosophical institute. The biggest and oldest statue of Buddha in Darjeeling is inside this monastery and was brought from Tibet.
Japanese Temple and Peace Pagoda: Moving on, visit the Japanese Temple and Peace Pagoda, located on Jalapahar hill. The temple was built under the guidance of Buddhist monks from Japan in the traditional Japanese style and houses four avatars of Buddha. Close to it is the Peace Pagoda, showcasing the four large avatars of Lord Buddha. The view from the top is magnificent, with a panoramic view of Darjeeling town and Mt. Kanchenjunga. During the visit, tourists can join morning or evening prayers in the Temple, along with the monks.
Rangeet Valley Passenger Ropeway:The Rangeet Valley Passenger Ropeway, also known as The Darjeeling Ropeway, is another attraction that shouldn't be missed. It is the perfect spot to enjoy the breathtaking view of the valley below, the dreamy Darjeeling town, the lush green tea plantations, dense forests, mountain streams in their full flow, waterfalls, and the impressive snow peaks in the background. It is a must-visit attraction for adventure enthusiasts.
Darjeeling Railway or Toy Train: If you have enough time, take a ride on the UNESCO World Heritage famous Darjeeling railway or the Toy Train. The evening is free to visit the Darjeeling Mall for shopping as this is the last spot to crack a great deal and grab something unique from this trip. Overnight in the Hotel of Darjeeling.
DAY 3: DARJEELING TO VIA LAMAHATA ECO PARK, LOVERS VIEW POINT, TRIVANI VIEW POINT VISITE & KALIMPONG TRANSFER
Welcome to day 3 of your tour in Darjeeling! After Breakfast start your journey to explore the beautiful eco-park of Lamahata, the picturesque Lovers View Point, and the stunning Trivani View Point before transferring you to the charming town of Kalimpong. Get ready to witness the breathtaking natural beauty of this region, with its lush greenery, rolling hills, and majestic mountains.
Lamahata Eco Park: Located at an altitude of 6800 feet, the Lamahata Eco Park is a perfect destination for nature lovers. It is a beautiful picnic spot that offers breathtaking views of the surrounding hills, valleys, and forests. The park is spread over an area of 20 hectares and is home to a wide variety of flora and fauna. The park has been developed as an eco-tourism destination, with an emphasis on conservation and sustainable tourism. The park is surrounded by dense forests of pine, oak, and rhododendron, and the air is filled with the sweet fragrance of wildflowers.
Lovers View Point: Next, we take you to Lovers View Point, which is one of the most popular tourist spots in Darjeeling. This viewpoint is located at an altitude of 6900 feet and offers stunning panoramic views of the surrounding mountains, valleys, and tea gardens. It is a romantic spot that is perfect for couples and offers a peaceful atmosphere to relax and unwind.
Triveni View Point: Our next stop is the Triveni View Point, which is located at an altitude of 8000 feet. It is a popular viewpoint that offers spectacular views of the snow-capped Himalayan range. On a clear day, you can see the majestic Kanchenjunga peak, the third-highest mountain in the world, from this point. The Triveni View Point is also a popular spot for adventure activities like trekking, rock climbing, and rappelling.
Transfer to Kalimpong: After a day of exploring the beautiful eco-park and stunning viewpoints, we'll transfer you to the charming town of Kalimpong. Kalimpong is a beautiful hill station that is located at an altitude of 4100 feet. The town is known for its beautiful monasteries, churches, and temples. It is also famous for its handicrafts, especially Tibetan handicrafts. The town is surrounded by lush green forests and offers stunning views of the Himalayan range.
DAY 4: KALIMPONG LOCAL SIGHTSEEN
After Breakfast start for Kalimpong Tour. Kalimpong is a virgin hill station in West Bengal renowned for its panoramic Mt. Kanchanjhangha and valley views, Local sightseeing in Kalimpong area includes visits to famous monasteries and Delo Park offering sweeping views of Kanchenjunga snow peaks, rivers & landscapes, visits to museums, parks, flower nurseries, missionary schools etc. Visit :
Dr Graham's Homes : This missionary school was set up by Dr J A Graham in 1900 as an orphanage & school for destitute Anglo-Indian children. It is located on the way to Deolo Hills.
Deolo Hill : This is the major attraction in East Kalimpong. The tourism department has created an 8 Acre of lush parkland with manicured flower gardens and several viewpoints with breathtaking views of Kanchenjunga, Durpin hill, Kalimpong Township and the valley with rivers flowing through them.
Mangal Dham : A temple complex built in memory of the late Guruji Mangal Das ji and dedicated to Lord Krishna.
Durpin Monastery : This Tibetan monastery is located on Durpin hill and hence the name. The actual name is Zang Dog Palri monastery. It was built in 1972 and has some rare Buddhist scripts that were brought here by Dalai Lama from Tibet. From the upper terrace of the monastery, you get magnificent views of Kalimpong town with Kanchenjunga in the background, the valley and the plains, the Teesta & Reang rivers flowing down, and the lovely tea estates of the Peshoke area. Overnight stay at Kalimpong.
DAY 5: KALIMPONG TO SILIGURI IXB/NJP TRANSFER
This is tha last day of your Darjeeling Kalimpong Tour Package. Start your day with a hearty breakfast at the hotel. After check-out, set off for transfer to the NJP Station/Bagdogra Airport (IXB) from where you will be leaving with some amazing memories.
